Common Flash Errors
Many students and educators will encounter alert messages about the need to update or enable Adobe Flash. These alerts are caused by changes made by web browsers, such as Google Chrome. They can interfere with the use of i-Ready and any other educational programs that use Adobe Flash.
Please follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure that your students and teachers can access i-Ready.
Flash is Blocked:
Instructions:
- Enter the following into the address bar:
chrome://settings - At the bottom, click Advanced.
- Under “Privacy and security,” click Content settings.
- Go to the “Flash” setting.
- Across from “Allow,” click ADD.
- Enter [*.]i-ready.com and click ADD.
Flash is Outdated:
Instructions:
- Enter the following into the address bar:
chrome://components - Under “Adobe Flash Player,” click Check for update to update to the latest version
of Flash.
Oops!
Instructions:
- Enter the following into the address bar:
chrome://settings - At the bottom, click Advanced.
- Under “Privacy and security,” click Content settings.
- Go to the “Flash” setting.
- Across from “Allow,” click ADD.
- Enter [*.]i-ready.com and click ADD.
Update Plugin
Instructions:
- Enter the following into the address bar:
chrome://components - Under “Adobe Flash Player,” click Check for update to update to the latest version
of Flash.
